REAL WEDDINGS

A Magical Northumberland Country House Wedding

Stephanie and Michael’s love story blossomed amidst the picturesque surroundings of Whitley Bay, their charming coastal hometown in Northumberland. Fate seemed to play a significant role as their paths intertwined regularly. Fueled by common interests and shared friends, their undeniable connection led them to a beautiful moment on July 16, 2021, when they officially said “yes” to forever.

The Woodland Suite, A Stand-out Feature

During their initial show around at Shortflatt Tower, Stephanie and Michael were captivated by The Woodland Suite, where the sun poured through the expansive windows, casting a warm glow that stole their hearts. Shortflatt Tower proved to be the ideal setting for their wedding, with its magical ambiance created by the ancient forest that enveloped them, evoking a dreamlike atmosphere for our joyful couple.

The Birketts’ wedding day was an enchanting and truly memorable experience. Every intricate detail was carefully coordinated by Shortflatt Tower’s dedicated wedding team, ensuring flawless execution throughout the day. The highlight was undoubtedly the ceremony itself, surrounded by the warmth of friends and family.

As Stephanie locked eyes with Michael for the first time, tears of happiness flowed, setting the tone for her walk down the aisle, eager for the promising future that awaited them as a married couple.

Incredible Wedding Feast

Following a beautiful ceremony, the Birketts and their closest loved ones eagerly anticipated a delightful wedding breakfast. The joy of sitting down together and savoring exceptional cuisine to celebrate their love became another cherished highlight. Amidst a variety of delightful dishes, the vegan torte stole the spotlight, earning enthusiastic praise from our delighted bride and groom for its delectable flavor and unique touch.

A Picture Perfect Princess and Her Prince

Stephanie, our stunning bride, stole the show in an A-line gown donning a deep plunging neckline and a delicate beaded lace overlay. The dress, shimmering brilliantly in the sunlight, added a touch of true princess fashion that had caught her attention from the start. Beyond being visually striking, the dress perfectly complimented the Country Manor House wedding venue setting.

To complement her look, Stephanie adorned herself with silver jewellery, a graceful floral headpiece, and a long and elegant veil.

As for our groom, Michael, he looked dashing in a Moss Bros navy checked three-piece suit. Adding a modern touch, the light grey vest elegantly completed the ensemble. A burnt orange tie skilfully brought out subtle hints of orange in the suit. Every detail, from head to toe, was meticulously considered. Their chosen colour theme of orange not only infused vibrancy and energy into the occasion but also harmonised seamlessly with the bridesmaids’ dresses, groomsmen’s suits, and the exquisite floral arrangements.

Supplier Showcase

When it came to choosing evening entertainment, the Birketts had an easy decision. They had witnessed Paul Lytton’s magic on numerous occasions and they knew he would keep the guests both enthralled and amused with his tricks.

Joel Grainger, with his violin, added an elegant and sophisticated touch to the evening, greatly enjoyed by many guests.

Capturing all the special moments, Sean Elliott and Jon from Top Table Films formed a dream team enabling Stephanie and Michael to relive their wedding day from that day forward. Stephanie added “we joked that they were the Ant & Dec on the day, what a duo!”
